Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator \(0\.9, Evenings\) to work for the Patient Access Coordinator Center at the First Hill Campus in Seattle, WA\.
TheAdministrativeNursingAdmission Coordinator has the primary responsibility of assigning bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units at the First Hill campus\.
In this position you will:
Be responsible foradmissions from emergency departments, direct admits and inter\-unit transfers\.
Coordinate requests for surgicalpatients\(inthecase of add on procedures and/or changes to admission\) as well as pediatrics, patients to CDU and admissions from outside facilities, will filter through this process
Review chartsand/orcallsto clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement
Collaboratewithnursing,physicians,EVS,thenursingresource office and other facilities to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor'sDegreeinNursingfrom an accredited School of Registered Nursing
CurrentWashington State Registered Nurse license required
Abilityto work with people who may be injured, infirmed or confused and their families; understanding their needs and concerns is crucial
Minimum 5 years RN experience in either ED, ICU and/or 5 years Acute Care Inpatient Nursing
