In this position, the Clinic Nurse provides nursing care to patients and is responsible for patient care coordination, telephone triage, team leading and supporting staff development in the clinic environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Uses and documents levels of care criteria for all patients throughout care continuum and develops and directs continuum of care map in collaboration with interdisciplinary team (IDT)
Identifies obstacles to efficiency and goal outcomes and intervenes to overcome or eliminate these when possible
Assesses patient needs, coordinates patient flow, administers care and revises plan of care accordingly
Demonstrates caring and involved behaviors to patient/family members and plays an advocacy role to ensure positive outcomes
Universal Worker Responsibilities
Performs phlebotomy tasks, collects and logs specimens, assists in the coordination of lab result reporting processes and performs quality control checks
Prepares and instructs patients for radiology procedure and performs site specific chest and extremity procedures according to policies and procedures
Current MT RN license
Current BLS certification
Ability to obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire, site specific
Current Montana State General/Chest/Extremity Radiology Permit or successful completion of course and test within six months or upon next offering (site specific)
Current phlebotomy skills or successful completion of in service and competency within 3 months (site specific).
Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment
Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as ability to learn applications relevant to the position
