Helps develop and implement standards, program, policies/procedures that guide and support the provision of departmental services, including compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards.

Manages the Environment of Care Life Safety program. Coordinates and plans for compliance with the JCAHO required Statement of Conditions, Plan for improvement, Fire Drills, Fire Department inspections, Colorado Dept. of Health Life Safety inspections, JCAHO Life Safety Inspections and internal maintenance zone inspections.
Manages the Environment of Care Utilities Management program. Develops and monitors performance standards, equipment inventories and preventative maintenance procedures. Coordinates and plans for compliance with JDAHO Utilities Management standards.
Maintains and coordinates hospital key system with construction and remodels, and with disbursement of keys.
Construction projects - Assists in planning of projects with design and layout. Coordinates with contractors for all work to be done. Maintains project records with contracts, change orders and pay requests.
Coordinates with Materials Management and Finance for capital budget purchases and projects, and for accurate record keeping.
Coordinates with landscaping contractor for the maintenance and repair of all irrigation and landscaping systems at all hospital properties.
Safely operate motor vehicle and comply with driver requirements as defined in SCL Health System's Driver Safety Policy.
Education: More than three years of formal training or education beyond the high school level
Experience: 10 years of associated engineering experience with more than 3 years of management/supervisory experience.
