Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to the Providence Child Center in NE Portland, OR.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an RN with previous experience in a pediatric care setting. The position offers a full time, Monday-Friday day shift schedule, and the role is largely administrative in nature. The primary responsibilities consist of reviewing referrals, conducting phone screens, and doing computer and phone work related to referral management and program coordination.
In this position, you will:
Be the professional responsible for facilitating the flow of referrals to the clinic.
Facilitate the workflow in the area by conducting nursing assessments and documentation.
Contribute expertise by mentoring clinical staff within their scope of practice.
Assist with maintaining compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and will support physicians in delivering quality health care to patients taking into account the patients' individual physical or age-related needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Skills assessing vital signs, providing direct patient care, managing time effectively, and practicing safety techniques
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Knowledge, skills and abilities acquired through obtaining a college degree in nursing
Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific care for pediatric patients applicable to a clinic setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior experience in a pediatric medical care setting
