The Clinical Research Coordinator will perform job responsibilities that require use of bi-lingual (English and Spanish) oral/written/listening skills. The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee recruitment for the study and coordinate and facilitate subjects' participation in the clinical activities of this epidemiological study which involves one or more visits to the UC Davis MIND Institute, a 1-2 hour telephone interview and completion of self-administered forms and questionnaires.REQUIRED--Experience working with patients in clinical or study environment with children who have developmental disabilities.--Demonstrated experience in the execution of human research protocols. --Knowledge of IRB Administration policies and procedures and HIPAA regulations.--Knowledge of autism-related services and community supports. --Demonstrated knowledge and ability to handle biohazard samples (blood, urine, saliva, hair).--Experience in creating and maintaining electronic databases. --Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate and correspond with department faculty and clinical staff, external University administrators, study sponsors, study participants, patients, caregivers, other health care professionals, and the general public.--Excellent computer skills including all the Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Lotus Notes, and the use of the Internet. Ability to self-train to quickly learn new computer programs as needed. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT--Written and oral fluency in Spanish and English.--May require occasional evening and/or weekend work, as well possible over-time hours.--May require occasional travel to Davis for meetings or transporting biological samples. - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
