Summary: Emerging IT professional within the Developer family developing and applying expertise in one or more IT disciplines that support Cook Children's infrastructure.
Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services to application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of specific technology standards.
Minimum of 2 years of development experience plus a BS/BA Degree (or 5 years development experience and a high school diploma).
2-4 years' experience developing and implementing web applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET web forms, jQuery & Bootstrap.
A very good knowledge of web development from the planning to final deployment stages.
2-4 years' experience with source control tools such as TFS or similar version control system (SVN).
2-4 years' experience of Microsoft Visual Studio and other team development tools.
Ability to solve problems and develop solid web driven solutions.
Knowledge of Web APIs or Web Services.
Knowledge of MVC, Knockout, Windows Forms & developing UX/UI driven applications.
Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and scrum.
Experience with website optimization and troubleshooting.
Experience with integrating third party with in-house systems.
Knowledge of SharePoint development is a bonus.
Ability to consider and judge multiple approaches to a problem.
Great communication skills, written and oral.
Experience working on consumer-facing websites.
Hands-on experience with Agile development practices desirable.
Openness to learning new technologies.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with working as part of a team as well as peer development.
