Note: This position is 24 hours per pay period. Due to the low number of hours, this position is not eligible for benefits unless the 24 hours are in addition to an employee's regularly authorized hours. BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Integrates emergency nursing science, computer science, and information science to enhance Clinical Information Systems in the Emergency Department. Works collaboratively with uses of the ED Information System, Information Systems, and other clinical departments in problem solving issues related to the ED Information System. Coordinates aspects of planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to the ED IS System. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors in Nursing required, MSN preferred. Minimum Work Experience Minimum of 3 years ED Nursing experience required Previous experience in a nursing leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, Clinical Leader, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Nurse Manager) Required Licenses/Certifications for position Must have a current Tennessee RN License Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Computer proficiency Project management Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
