The Naples Pediatric Urgent Care is in need of a Practice Manager. The Urgent Care hours are 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. The Practice Manager will primarily work daytime hours, but there may be need to work outside of traditional hours to meet with staff on occasion. The Practice Manager provides leadership, direction, growth and administration of operations to facilitate the cultural, technical, clinical and environmental strategies and objectives. This position works in collaboration with physicians to optimize staffing, ensure services provided are safe and efficient, monitor and achieve quality clinical outcomes, serves as a liaison between the physicians and leadership This position is responsible for the business and multidisciplinary activities for an assigned multi-physician practice site or assigned off-site locations. The position has direct responsibility for the recruitment, development, management and supervision of staff and other management roles. This position assures the practice and staff is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulatory agency, LMHS policies and procedures. The position prepares and is responsible for the implementation of capital and operational budgets, coordinates efficient billing practices, develops short and long-term business and clinical strategies, assists with marketing and revenue enhancement programs. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining internal and external relationships which ensure achievement of the strategies and goals of the organization. Ability to apply effective communication strategies to solve and facilitate simple and complex situations which enhance the professional and healthy environment.
Education: Associate's degree in management or related field and two to four years of management experience, preferably in a practice setting; or commensurate education and experience. Bachelor's degree and/or ACMPE certification strongly preferred. Experience: Knowledge of ambulatory care operations; background in clinic procedures including schedule management, patient registration, use of electronic health record, patient flow, billing and referrals and authorizations. Computer proficiency including word-processing and spreadsheet applications and knowledge of electronic health record and billing software applications. Excellent written and oral communications skills necessary. Must have superb interpersonal skills and be able to handle difficult conversations effectively. Able to express opinions openly and honestly and provide feedback in a timely and productive manner. Ability to examine and re-engineer operations and workflows and report operational metrics to staff and providers. Must have experience with creating budgets and communicating financial information to staff and providers. Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate changes in workload assignments and react calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
