BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Performs admission intake and initial registration of all Home Health service lines. Initiates pre-authorization of new patients for all service lines and additional authorizations as required by MCO. Completes patient/physician requests and completes patient orders utilizing appropriate computer program. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education High School/GED Required Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Minimum Work Experience One year hospital or home health experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications for position Licensed Practical Nurse in State of Tennessee. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be licensed, insured driver. Computer experience required. Ability to effectively interact with all health care providers and managed care organizations is essential. Problem solving skills required. Possesses good written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service skills required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
