Phoenix Children's Hospital seeks a nationally recognized pediatric pulmonologist to serve as Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Reporting to the Physician-in-Chief of Phoenix Children's Hospital, the Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology will build the pulmonology expertise of the hospital and care delivery network, develop and enhance patient care programs and resources, and expand research activities. The Chief will attract high performing physicians, establish high quality, evidence-based practices, enhance education programs, and further develop referral relationships in the Phoenix community and throughout the region. A nationally recognized hospital by U.S. News & World Report, Phoenix Children's Hospital's Division of Pediatric Pulmonology is one of the clinically busiest in the United States.
The Division includes an integrated program of subspecialists, with many collaborations with faculty in other divisions, to develop new programs addressing lung disease in children. The division is also currently home to the allergy/immunology program. Notable programs are Phoenix Children's Pediatric Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Program, the first accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center in the state of Arizona, the only comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Tracheotomy and Airway Program in the state, and a comprehensive asthma program that includes a mobile asthma clinic to connect services and treatment with the pediatric community. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of academic accomplishments in pediatric pulmonology clinical care, education and research in a highly regarded pediatric organization. The responsibilities of this position include clinical care, administration, program and referral development and faculty recruitment initiatives.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to advance clinical programs and research are required. The position requires current Board Certification in pediatric pulmonology. Candidates must be able to obtain an Arizona medical license.
