Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplant (MECT) seeks a multiorgan abdominal transplant surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate should be Board Eligible or Certified in General Surgery or Urology by ABS or FRCS-Canada, or equivalent. Formal training in abdominal organ transplantation surgery and a track record of academic productivity is required. Montefiore Health System is a large health care system in New York which includes several hospital campuses and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. MECT is a recognized Center of Excellence in the Health System (www.montefiore.org/transplant). Over 250 solid organ transplants were performed at Montefiore in 2016, including liver, kidney, pancreas, live donor liver and kidney, and heart transplantation. A lung program is also starting in 2017. There are dedicated programs in pediatric transplantation as well. There are numerous outstanding opportunities for academic advancement.
