BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB A Registered Professional Nurse who assists in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the nursing operation of the unit. Responsible for the overall quality of nursing care provided through supervision, guidance and assistance to the staff on assigned shift. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors of Science in Nursing required or proof of current enrollment with graduation date on or before December 31, 2018 required. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Minimum Work Experience 5 years nursing experience 1 year pediatric nursing preferred Management experience preferred Required Licenses/Certifications for position Current professional licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Tennessee. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong leadership, delegation, and effective management skills. Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs.
