The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago is recruiting a pediatric endocrinologist in the Section of Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. The ability to collaborate with a team of translational scientists to evaluate genetic factors and their impact on the delivery of health care to children with diabetes is preferred.Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have an M.D., or M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent; 2) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric endocrinology fellowship; 3) be board certified/eligible in pediatric endocrinology; and 4) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois. Applicant selection will consider past and prospective accomplishments in education of residents and medical students. The Comer Children's Hospital is a state-of-the-art free-standing Children's Hospital within the Medical Complex.
