BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Administers and directs the programs for the purchase of hospital supplies and equipment. Counsels department directors and others regarding type, quantity, quality, cost and availability of supplies and equipment required. Determines method of purchase and source. Manages purchasing, storeroom, central service, supply distribution, and equipment management. Instructs personnel on receiving, storing, and delivering materials ordered. Manages inventory and other purchasing records. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors Required Minimum Work Experience 5-7 years progressive leadership experience 5-7 years of experience in Materials Management, healthcare experience strongly preferred.
