Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) has retained Cejka Executive Search to recruit a Chief Nursing Officer for Mount Edgecumbe Hospital. Established in 1975, SEARHC is a non-profit health consortium which serves the residents of Southeast Alaska. SEARHC provides comprehensive health care services in 20 communities throughout Southeast Alaska and includes a critical access hospital, outpatient clinics, behavioral health services and dental clinics. Mount Edgecumbe Hospital provides 25-bed acute care, critical care, obstetrics, surgery and perioperative care to the community and serves as a regional hospital, open to everyone in Sitka and Southeast Alaska.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operations of Nursing Care Services at Mount Edgecumbe Hospital and across SEARHC. Reporting to the hospital administrator and in collaboration with providers across the consortium, the CNO will ensure efficient, effective, patient-centered operations; provide transformational leadership to enhance the quality of nursing services and ensure alignment of goals and direction. The CNO will develop, implement and promote strategies to advance evidence-based nursing standards, ensure a professional and high performing work environment, promote team building, and enhance patient satisfaction.
The successful candidate will demonstrate progressive nursing leadership responsibilities, preferably in a rural health system. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; a Master’s Degree in Nursing or advanced business degree is preferred.
