Skagit Regional Health is seeking a Director of Acute and Critical Care Services for our Cascade Valley Hospital location in Arlington, WA. This is a full time exempt, benefits eligible position.

Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics includes the 48-bed acute care facility in Arlington, five associated clinics and a free-standing surgery center. Cascade Valley Hospital provides acute, critical care, general surgery, a level IV Emergency Department, and Family Birthing Center, plus a wide array of outpatient and diagnostic imaging services. Clinics include family practice offices in Darrington and Granite Falls along with orthopedic, pediatric and women’s health practices in Arlington
Oversees the process of patient care of the Intensive Care and Acute Care Departments.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they relate to the process.
Demonstrates the ability to make calm and sensible decisions under various work situations, dealing with immediate problems reasonably.

Coordinates with Chief Nurse Executive to ensure optimal organizational outcomes.
Interfaces with regulatory agencies.
Participates in relevant medical staff committees.
Assist in developing operational and capital budgets.
Assists in investigating, evaluating, and implementing new revenue-generating programs.
Participates in cross-process teams.
Assist in assessing, communicating and improving customer satisfaction.
Facilitates QI activities, audits data collection, and criteria development.
Seeks opportunities to design, conduct, and evaluate significant process improvements.
Participates in Professional Practice Council.
Fiscally responsible, including corporate billing compliance and nursing budgeting.
Closely monitors staffing to meet budget.
Spends education funds responsibly to enhance job performance.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) healthcare provider BLS required.
Washington State RN license.
American Heart Association Provider ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Three years management experience in a healthcare setting desired.
