Skagit Regional Health is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery RNs for our Cascade Valley Hospital location in Arlington, WA. Cascade Valley Hospital is a licensed 48 beds acute care hospital in Snohomish County. Openings range from on call/per diem to full time.
Assumes accountability for a group of patients by providing care to these patients through the nursing process.
Able to safely use and interpret fetal monitors, infant warmers, isolettes, infant cardiac/apnea monitors, vacuum extractors bag, cpm device, k-pad, cardiac monitor.
Participates in C-section when assigned.
Appropriately disposes of materials (linens, sharps, hazardous materials).
Practices infection control strategies.
Participates in quality improvement.
HIPAA Requirements: Observes/protects patient privacy and confidentiality.
Demonstrates understanding of Corporate Compliance and business ethics Environment of Care.
Follows unit specific RN performance standards, structure standards, policies procedures.
Utilizes knowledge of human growth and development to plan and provide age-appropriate patient care.
Demonstrates effective responses to unit/patient crisis situations.
Demonstrates ability to appropriately challenge questionable care practices.
Participates in committees, task forces, and projects.
Chooses appropriate standard of care and associated protocols and individualizes POC per patient need. Reviews POC and revises as needed.
Engages in discharge planning.
Utilizes documentation tools according to established guidelines.
Participates in QI activities: audits, data collection, and criteria development.
Current Washington Start RN license required
One year labor and delivery experience required.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
NRP, and FHM certifications required within 6 months of hire date.
STABLE certification required within 1 year of hire date.
