SUMMARY:Primary focus of this position is implementation and coordination of the occupational health and safety programs at CCHCS to reduce the risk of employee injury, potential liabilities and loss of company assets. Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are a must. Performs pattern and trend analysis and assessment of potential safety risks.
Recommends and monitors actions to reduce, eliminate, and/or avoid safety risks, including recommendations from management of deficits in knowledge, systems and behavior.
The employee should have the ability to manage time, identify and provide appropriate metrics and reports as needed, and accurately manage multiple projects simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS:Associates Degree required or Bachelor's degree preferred, in a health or safety related field. 2 to 3 years of experience required. Microsoft office skills are required. Additional software experience as needed for database support and data analysis is preferred. Computer and application proficiency needed, as well as knowledge of EHS management systems. Data analysis experience and familiarity with SAS, SPSS, and R are a plus.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Certifications such as CSP or graduate experience is a plus.
