BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Provides patient/family Home Health respiratory and equipment education in all areas of Home Health respiratory HME care. Coordinates set-up/delivery and education. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Associates Required Degree in Respiratory Care Minimum Work Experience 1 year previous Respiratory Care experience required. 1 year pediatric Respiratory Care experience preferred. Home Health HME experience desired. Required Licenses/Certifications for position Registered or Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Therapist with current Tennessee State license required. BLS required, PALS preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Demonstrates professional judgment, outstanding communication skills, capable of multitasking, attentive to detail, highly organized, flexible and is able to function autonomously. Must have a valid Tennessee Drivers License with class F endorsement. Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
