BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Licensed pharmacist with a working knowledge of hospital pharmacy, clinical applications related to pharmacy. The pharmacist dispenses medications and pharmaceutical preparations as prescribed by the physician. The pharmacist maintains proper records (i.e. computerized patient profiles) and supplies information regarding pharmaceuticals to hospital staff. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors Required in Pharmacy Minimum Work Experience 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required. Pharmacy informatics experience preferred Required Licenses/Certifications for position Pharmacy license in the State of Tennessee Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong communication, mathematical, and computer skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
