BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for managing all operations of the Sterile Processing Department. Ensures that management and staff provide the highest quality sterile and high-level disinfected instruments per standards and recommended practices from AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation), AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses), and TJC (The Joint Commission). Works closely with the Infection Control Department to establish, implement, and maintain infection control standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors preferred Minimum Work Experience 2 years experience in business and/or supply management Required Licenses/Certifications for position Yes Certified Registered Central Service Technician Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Experience with materials management systems and Microsoft office Exposure to hospital supply processes Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail Budgeting experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
