The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics seeks a pediatric critical care physician to lead the Section of Critical Care Medicine. The ideal candidate is an academic leader and program builder with a strong background in all aspects of Pediatric Critical Care who will support the clinical, research, and education efforts of the Section. Individuals with a national reputation in scholarship are strongly encouraged to apply. Appointment will be made at a rank of Associate Professor or Professor, depending on qualifications.We seek a Section Chief who has a demonstrated commitment to scholarship, the ability to lead a diverse group, an ability to work with hospital and academic department partners using a collaborative approach, success in promoting scholarship and funding, and the ability to mentor young faculty. Successful candidates for this position must demonstrate evidence of leadership, administrative, and organizational skills in academic critical care medicine.
