The Children's Service line at Carolinas HealthCare System, now Atrium Health, affiliated Levine Children's Hospital and Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital, is looking for highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioners to join their network of ambulatory general pediatric practices. Our Charlotte area locations have both current and future (Summer 2018)opportunities in a variety of settings. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced pediatrics office, but newly graduating NPs are also encouraged to apply. NPs function independently in a general pediatrics office-based setting in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Most locations are out-patient only with an inpatient pediatrics team covering inpatient as well as newborn nursery.
Practices share phone call coverage for after-hours care, first utilizing RN triage. NP call coverage varies by practice location so please ask for details.
Most opportunities offer existing patient panels, ages 0-21, with an average of 18-24 patients a day

Education, Experience and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
Masters Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. AGPCNP, FNP, PNP-PC, or ANP certification according to population served.
