We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Southwest Autism Center of Excellence in Phoenix!
As a Physical Therapist, you will serve as a central support for child, adolescent, teen, and adults clients and their families. The position combines care collaboration functions and family skills development. In this position you will provide physical therapy treatment in the home, school, office, or related community environment. Services will be provided to clients as directed by the Child and Family Teams, clinical teams, and client needs assessments. In accordance with the standard Physical Therapy principles and philosophy, this position will be responsible for creating and implementing physical therapy plans to teach new methods of dealing with challenging physical ailments. Interventions are often 1:1 and may be group based and may include family skills development in the home, school-based skills development, support and empowerment of the family unit in the problem-solving and clinical/thepeutic care coordination between resources within and outside the agency.
This position requires a Master's Degree in Phyical Therapy (MPT) and Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Must have an approved degree from CAPTE- accredited physical therapist education program and pass the state licensure exam.
Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist.
One â“ Two years direct experience working in a behavioral health/medical setting preferred.
Bi-lingual highly preferred.
Experience/Understanding with the principles and approach of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) highly preferred
Valid AZ driver's license
Certification in First Aid &; CPR
Fingerprint clearance card
Experience working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals
May be required to be a part of on-call rotations to include nights and weekends (please ask)
