Clinical Laboratory â“ Casual dayshift/weekend position
Our Microbiology/Urinalysis/Molecular Department currently has an opening for an ASCP certified CLS/MT to join our team.
This position's responsibilities include: PCR testing (GeneXpert and Film Array), Urinalysis testing, sample plating, Gram stains, processing positive and blood cultures. There is the potential to add some plate reading for candidates who are interested, but this is not essential.
Responsibilities include two weekends per month and rotating holiday coverage. Position could also include periodic days during the week, if possible.
Required: ability to work in a team environment, strong communication skills and experience with position responsibilities.
Preferred: Experience with Sunquest LIS, Bactec, GeneXpert, IRIS, Film Array and Urinalysis (Iris).
Training needs to be dayshift for 4 - 8 weeks.
