We Want U to join our University Health family, where providing the best patient care is our number one priority. UH is actively recruiting for full time Pharmacists.
The University Health Shreveport Pharmacy Department is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our patients through the safe and effective use of medications. Our mission targets three fundamental tenets:
We are dedicated to providing superior patient care.
We have a desire to contribute to healthcare and patient education.
We strive to discover new and innovative medication therapies through research.
Our department supports our mission by enabling pharmacists to apply their expertise in our hospital and clinic pharmacy, retail pharmacy, and research pharmacy.
The hospital and clinic pharmacy is responsible for ensuring that all medications that are ordered, dispensed, and administered to University Health patients have been carefully critiqued to ensure safe and effective use. Our innovative staffing model allows for pharmacists to participate in multidisciplinary team rounds in an environment centered on quality patient care and education.

Our pharmacists are uniquely positioned to assist patients so that they can successfully and knowledgeably conduct medication therapy for themselves and for their loved ones.
The research pharmacy participates with researchers from within the LSU School of Medicine. Our research efforts support the provision of investigational medications to patient in order to discover the treatments of tomorrow.
