Phoenixville Hospital is a 151-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services through approximately 25,000 emergency room visits, 8,200 inpatient admissions and more than 500 community outreach programs annually. In addition, our Regional Rehab Center ranked in the Top 10 percent of 781 inpatient rehabilitation facilities.

Histology Technologist/Technician for Phoenixville Hospital's Laboratory Shift: Full-time, 8 hour days (40 hours per week) - Prepares tissue specimens for routine and special procedures to confirm a patient diagnosis. - Performs complex histological procedures, records and analyzes data, and maintains and repairs instruments. - Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. - Works under general supervision. - A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. - Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Requirements: - Associate's degree or its equivalent - A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. - Must be certified as a Histotechnician HT (ASCP). - Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
