Phoenixville Hospital is a 151-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services through approximately 25,000 emergency room visits, 8,200 inpatient admissions and more than 500 community outreach programs annually. In addition, our Regional Rehab Center ranked in the Top 10 percent of 781 inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
Serving Southeastern Pennsylvania, we offer a full range of services and programs, including an award-winning Heart Center, fully-accredited Penn Cancer Network cancer center, comprehensive women's health services, the area's largest Robotic Surgery Center and the NAPBC Accredited Breast Health Center at Phoenixville. We also own and operate three outpatient surgery centers. Directs the day-to-day functions of and provides hands-on leadership to the Registration, Patient Transport, Telecommunications, and Bed Ready departments. Ensures patient throughput is managed timely within all areas, and customer satisfaction is achieved with every encounter with patients and families. Responsible for managing Patient Access services at the main hospital campus, as well as the outpatient surgery and diagnostic imaging locations. Develops key relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers, and acts as a liaison with physicians to address any concerns. Directs inpatient/outpatient admission policies and practices. Reviews admitting department operations to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Works with medical, nursing and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Education: -Bachelor's Degree in related healthcare or business field, required Experience/Knowledge: -Minimum 5 years of patient registration or customer service management experience in a hospital environment -Previous experience in a leadership role, with progressive growth in responsibilities -Knowledge of patient access systems and third party billing requirements -Experience in a for-profit hospital, preferred Certification: -Professional certification (CHAM, PAHM), preferred
