Phoenixville Hospital is a 151-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services through approximately 25,000 emergency room visits, 8,200 inpatient admissions and more than 500 community outreach programs annually. In addition, our Regional Rehab Center ranked in the Top 10 percent of 781 inpatient rehabilitation facilities.

Supervisor for Phoenixville Hospital's Sterile Processing Department Shift: Full-time, 8 hour days (40 hours per week) *Bonus may be applicable based on experience* - Responsible for all Sterile Processing related activities at the hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center's. - Responsible for planning the scope, emphasis, and objectives of Sterile Processing. - Responsible for achieving maximum efficiency in concert with organizational and business objectives of Phoenixville Hospital - Assists employees in day-to-day tasks and ensures hospital procedures are followed and standards are met - Manages the direction of the Sterile Processing department as it supports services provided by other hospital departments involved in patient care. - The Supervisor has a panoramic understanding of the hospitals operation. Emphasis and evaluation is made on the utilization of human resources, safety, service, and economy of equipment and supplies. - Needs to be well-versed on all Joint Commission and DOH requirements as they pertain to Sterile Processing.
Education: - High school diploma or equivalent Experience/Knowledge/Skills: - Candidate must have certification in sterile processing and have 2-3 years experience in managing a Sterile Processing department - Minimum 3 years experience in service area related to asepsis, client care, supplies and equipment - Strong organizational skills - Ability to multi-task priorities - Strong leadership and facilitation skills - Good conflict management skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Team oriented - Strong project management skills - Ability to manage change - Displays professionalism and embodies high integrity - Computer skills including Word and Excel Licenses/Certifications: - Sterile Processing certification
