Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center DESCRIPTION: The Senior Director of Clinical Research Administration will play a critical, integrative role leading and managing the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Clinical Trials Shared Resource (CTSR) to support the clinical research, operations and administrative needs of the VICC, inclusive of the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Division of Pediatric Oncology. The Senior Director will also provide clinical trial expertise and leadership across sites within the VICC Research Network. Managing across a matrix organization and reporting to the Executive Director of Administration and Chief Business Officer, the Senior Director will facilitate processes so that faculty and staff can grow and expand their clinical investigation and clinical trial portfolio. The Senior Director will be responsible for the administrative and operational needs and interests of the CTSR, which includes interventional and non-interventional clinical trials, select correlative research and the translation of discovery from bench to patients and community as part of an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This will include supervision of a large and diverse team of staff who carry out clinical trials, tissue acquisition, and biospecimen collections for a variety of research programs, shared resources, and clinical research operational functions of the VICC. The Senior Director will provide expert management of the operational and budgetary needs of the CTSR and oversee clinical research operations, data management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and safety, the integration of research into clinical operations, and scientific review.
