BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Registered Nurse who works to support the maximization of Children's Hospital capacity by enhancing patient throughput and bed management. Responsible and accountable for the use of standardized processes throughout the organization while monitoring transitions of care. Provides phone triage advice to patients from medical practices that are contracted with Children's Hospital to provide afterhours phone nurse support. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors Preferred Minimum Work Experience Pediatric nursing experience preferred. Ambulatory and urgent/emergent care preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications for position Nursing Licensure for State of Tennessee Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated clinical abilities. Interest and skills in patient education. Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required.
