The CARE Team at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a second BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team. This full-time position will provide you with an excellent opportunity to be a member of a highly qualified team committed to providing child abuse diagnostic and treatment. The CARE Team is a well established program recognized in the region that provides 24/7 inpatient and outpatient medical evaluations for approximately 1400 children annually who are suspected victims of child maltreatment. The CARE Team includes: 1 full time Pediatrician, 2 pediatric nurse practitioners, 3 full time Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse Examiners, 2 part time Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse Examiners, 2 Social Workers, and support staff.The CARE Team is supported by the hospital administration as well as a complete compliment of hospital specialists.
As the regional child abuse resource and evaluation center, the team participates in local/regional multidisciplinary teams, participates in the county child fatality review team, and provides professional training to multidisciplinary partners as well as providing fact and expert testimony in civil, criminal and federal court cases.
