Summary: ThePrincipal Trainer is responsible for mastering both an Epic applicationand Cook Children's operational workflows. This position will specialize in oneor more applications and take the lead in the development and implementation ofthe training program for their respective application(s). If not alreadycertified, the Principal Trainer will attend Epic application training and mustsatisfy certification requirements. The Principal Trainer isresponsible for building, testing, and maintaining the training environment, aswell as developing and maintaining training materials. This position reports tothe Training Manager, and works closely with Credentialed Trainers andApplication Managers to achieve the goal of providing training and building& maintaining training environments.
Bachelor's degree required.
Four years of experience designing and delivering softwaretraining curriculum for large healthcare systems is preferred.
Knowledge of adult learners and teachingprinciples.
Expert knowledge of healthcare industry.
Information Technology experience preferred.
Prior experience testing and training on Epic Systemspreferred.
Proven track record of successfully delivering projectson-time and on-budget.
Licensure,Registration, and/or Certification:
If not currently Epic certified, must take and pass the Epicpre-test.
Attend application training, Principal Trainer training andcomplete certification.
Certification is required within 6 months from employment,including 2 test retakes.
