Summary: Jobs in this family are responsible fordeveloping, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applicationsand related information technologies. In addition, they are responsiblefor the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, aswell as hardware and software components. This role provides consultingservices regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical andbusiness processes and the effective application of industry and organizationaltechnology standards.
This position is an emerging information technologyprofessional within the Systems Analyst family. This position participates inthe implementation, testing, installation and support of clinical and businessapplications. Expected activities include but are not limited to:
Modification of applications as needed to meet userrequirements.
Definition and development of reports.
Participation in application upgrades.
Participation in the resolution of problems and issuesassociated with installed applications and related information technologies.
Diagnosis of failures encountered in application softwareand related technologies.
Quality control of all applicationimplementations/enhancements prior to release to customers.
Maintains an awareness of vendor and industrydevelopments/plans in area(s) of responsibility, communication anddocumentation of all relevant items and activities.
Position requires at least 3 years of direct experience anda high school diploma or equivalent.
Epic ClinDoc certification preferred.
A BA/BS degree in IS or Business is preferred.
May have an equivalent combination of education and/orexperience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
If not currently Epic certified, candidates will be requiredto pass an Epic pre-certification exam in order to be considered.
Candidates will be required to become Epic certified within6 months of employment including 2 retakes.
