This Biomed Tech II is required to perform scheduled procedures, installation, inspection, calibration on Surgical/Clinical/Medical equipment. Perform unscheduled repairs on Surgical/Clinical/Medical equipment. Responsible for documenting the results of all inspections and repairs. Maintains compliance with JCAHO, Federal, state and local standards and regulations. Supports the mission, values and strategic aims of Cook Children's Health Care System This associate is often required to act independently under stressful conditions.
Education and Experience
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
A minimum of four years experience in the Clinical/Biomedical repair field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
Highly qualified with the ability to acquire either AAMI or VA certification as a BMET.
