The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Research Manager position in the Department of Pediatrics.
The incumbent is responsible for the training and education of post-award accounting staff in the Department of Pediatrics. This large and complex program encompasses funding within 4 organizations: - Pitt (research grants and contracts, scientific program) - Children's Hospital (state grants, endowments) - UPP (clinical trials) - UPMC (clinical grants/contracts)
This position will supervise financial supervisors and grant administrators, as well as manage the financial status of research grants/contracts. The incumbent must become knowledgeable of the rules and regulations of each institution, as well as, external funding agencies. This Manager will also be responsible for creating and maintaining departmental policy and procedure manual for research.
This position is located at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in Lawrenceville. TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
