The Cook I performs a variety of tasks in processing, preparation and mixing of cold food items. Utilizes standardized recipes, procedures and practices. Complies with regulatory requirements.
Must have high school diploma or GED
2-3 years experience in institutional or commercial food service food preparation.
Knowledge of food service safety and handling or equipment.
Must be able to follow and relay oral written detailed instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform duties throughout shift that requires standing, walking, pushing carts up to 400#, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50# containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time.
Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handler's Card prior to employment. Card must be current at all times during employment.
