Vanderbilt School of Medicine, Psychiatry Research, is accepting applications for our Research Assistant II.This key research position is full-time with benefits from first day of employment. We are seeking a research coordinator to work in Dr. Blythe Corbettâs SENSE lab at Vanderbilt University to work on a longitudinal study of youth with and without autism spectrum disorder.
The SENSE lab is interested in psychological, physiological, and social functioning over the development in children with and without autism spectrum disorder.Responsibilities include conducting screening, recruiting, consent, neuropsychological assessment, data entry, data management, and psychosocial stress protocols.
To qualify, one must have earned BA/BS degree, preferably in psychology or neuroscience; strong organizational and data management skills; and experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred; must maintain accurate and timely documentation and communication with investigators, participants, and IRB; comfortable interacting with children and adults.
Finally, the position starts in late summer 2018. A minimum two year commitment isrequested.Hourly pay range begins at $13.50 per hour and final pay will be commensurate with years of research experience.
The following include many of the roles and responsibilities:
Â·Perform psychosocial/neuropsychological assessments on children with and without autism spectrum disorder
Â·Coordinating multiple lab projects
Â·Assist with imaging studies
Â·Conduct behavioral studies
Â·Assist and participate in intervention studies
Â·Perform data management. Enter data into REDCap, MS-Excel, MS-Word. Assist in designing forms for scientific data collection. Update data consistently. Assist in preparation of data for statistical analysis and graphic display. Assist investigators in preparing the data for presentations/publications.
Â·Assist investigator in submission of grants.
Â·Order and maintain inventory of supplies.
Â·Share responsibility for general tasks of daily activities of the research unit, including telephone services, photocopying, and filing.
