Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC/BE child abuse pediatrician to join the Child Protection Team within the Department of General Pediatrics at McLane Children's Hospital. The Child Protection Team covers consultations for suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or neglect in the clinic, hospital, and emergency department.
Multidisciplinary team includes two pediatricians, an OB/GYN physician specializing in pediatrics, forensic nurses, and social workers
Approximately 900 patient encounters per year
Forensic nursing team covers 24/7 initial call
Full range of inpatient services and subspecialist support available
Partnership with the regional children's advocacy center

About McLane Children's Hospital:
McLane Children's Hospital is a 112 bed facility with 160 active medical and surgical pediatric faculty. McLane Children's training programs, affiliated with the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, include a pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship. Academic appointments are available commensurate with experience.
