The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking three pediatric neuropsychology candidates for full-time faculty positions to join our neuropsychology division within our growing department.
The Pediatric Neuropsychology Program, within Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, is a growing service that provides outpatient neuropsychological services to children and adolescents with a variety of complex medical, neurological, and neurodevelopmental concerns. Referral populations include but are not limited to children and adolescents with traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, seizures/epilepsy surgery candidates, genetic disorders, spina bifida, and brain tumors. Neuropsychologists work closely with other departments, to provide clinical care including comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and feedback to children, families, and referral sources. Experience with neuro-oncological populations is appreciated. Candidates will see both outpatient and inpatients through our inpatient pediatric rehabilitation program.
Opportunities also exist for working with pre- and post-doctoral level trainees from local area programs. Candidates interested in helping to develop and expand training programs are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program with an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship, and have completed a formal two-year post-doctoral fellowship or equivalent in pediatric or lifespan neuropsychology. Applicants should be licensed or license eligible in the state of Pennsylvania. Qualified candidates will also be board certified or eligible for board certification. The position is well supported by superb staff and facilities at our top-ten Children's Hospital, renowned for its outstanding clinical services, research programs, and medical education. The hospital has 315 licensed beds including an 8-bed rehabilitation unit, as well as nine floors of integrated inpatient and outpatient care areas.
