Department of Cardiology - The Clinical Research Manager II will manage the daily operations of The Pediatric Heart Network (PHN), an NIH-funded collaboration of clinical sites and a data coordinating center that conducts research studies in children with congenital or acquired heart disease. The Clinical Research Manager II will be responsible for:
Collaborating directly with investigators on the design, development, budget and conduct of clinical research studies within the Pediatric Heart Network
Activating study tasks including screening/recruitment/and enrollment of eligible subjects; scheduling patient visits, ordering tests, and data collection
Working with study investigators and statisticians to plan analyses, clean and verify data and facilitate preparation of datasets for analyses.
Providing educational support and training to investigators and study site coordinators for the development and implementation of research studies.
Minimum Education and Experience: Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant clinical research work experience or Master of Science and 6 years of relevant clinical research work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex. Work requires well-developed communication skills in order to provide critical information to patients, effectively deal with conflicting views or issues, and the ability to mediate fair solutions. Work also requires advanced writing skills.
