The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Division of Adolescent Medicine is seeking a pediatrician and Director of the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program to join our adolescent medicine practice and research group. We are accepting applicants for a faculty position on the non-tenure eligible Clinician-Educator track. We are seeking applicants with interest and experience in general adolescent medicine.
The Division of Adolescent Medicine provides clinical and teaching opportunities at Lurie Children’s Hospital and at our satellite clinic locations. Our outpatient adolescent medicine locations see over 3,000 unique visits annually at one of three outpatient locations. We provide medical and mental health services for children and adolescents up to age 25. We provide a range of services for individuals, including primary care, behavioral health services, and gender and sex development care. Approximately 85% of our patients are on Medicaid. The Division of Adolescent Medicine addresses important clinical and population health problems of children through state-of-the-art interdisciplinary methods and collaborations, often incorporating partnerships with community-based organizations to achieve shared goals.
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital is the primary pediatric teaching hospital of Northwestern University Medical School. The incoming faculty member will be proposed for an academic appointment at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, depending on experience. The incoming faculty member will be the Director of the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program. Salary and benefits are competitive. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2019. Qualified candidates must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Adolescent Medicine. Applicants with experience in education or fellowship training programs are especially encouraged to apply.
