Visit www.sclhealthsystem.org Description This position reports to the SCL Health Vice President Chief Accounting Officer Controller and is SCL Health's net revenue leader, responsible for recording, analyzing, communicating and maximizing net revenue/accounts receivable (AR) performance. Provides leadership and development of the System Finance Net Revenue function for SCL Health's nine hospitals and ambulatory/physician division. This position will recommend and provide strategic direction for revenue recognition, regulatory compliance (related to reimbursement), net revenue and AR performance optimization to lead the transformation of revenue management for SCL Health, including change management skills, implementation of new and "best practice" approaches to improve the accuracy of revenue recognition, management's understanding of net revenue/AR performance and maximization of reimbursement. This is a critical leadership role within the finance organization – given the complexity of revenue cycle policy and processes, payer contracting and related revenue recognition. Failure to perform the position effectively can result in financial, audit and/or regulatory risk to SCL Health. For success in this role it will be very important for this position to build and maintain relationships with the affiliate VPs of Finance and System Finance, Revenue Cycle and other counterpart leaders in the organization in matters of revenue cycle operations, performance, reimbursement and net revenue. Individual must be a strong financial manager with developed leadership skills including the ability to collaborate to affect change and bring optimization to the revenue cycle and financial reporting. Additionally, success in the position requires proven results in project management and leading professional teams. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly are critical. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; Advanced business administration degree (MBA) or certified public accountant (CPA) preferred. Experience: Ten years of progressive related experience, including previous management responsibility in a complex operating environment required – healthcare revenue cycle industry experience required: Strong management capability; 5+ years of management experience; Related governmental reimbursement experience; Experience solving difficult problems relating to reimbursement, audit discrepancies, contract modeling, revenue cycle functions; Experience working with complex and sophisticated reimbursement methodologies; Skilled in information systems technology throughout the revenue cycle and finance including implementation, change control and manipulation of data; Experience working with complex and sophisticated contracts.
