Seattle Children’s is seeking a dynamic IT executive for the position of Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. The SVP/CIO will serve as part of a collaborative senior leadership team reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. He/she will provide the information technology strategy and vision in support of the mission and goals of Seattle Children’s. The incoming SVP/CIO will assess the current state of the IT organization and strategy to continue the development of a stable, adaptable, and service oriented IT team. The SVP/CIO will lead in the optimization of the inpatient and ambulatory Cerner EMR as well as strengthening physician engagement and utilization of the system. The SVP/CIO will partner with other senior executives and IT leadership for continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.
The ideal candidate will be a mission driven leader with substantial experience in a complex healthcare system; ideally, within a children’s hospital or academic medical center. A strong history of leading and developing strategy, continuous improvement initiatives and innovation is required. Also, a track record managing a service oriented IT team is essential. A Bachelor’s Degree is required and an Advanced Degree is highly preferred.
