BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Coordinates all aspects of The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations with all applicable hospital departments and services to ensure compliance. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelors degree required. Background in Nursing, Laboratory, or Pharmacy preferred. Minimum Work Experience Three years experience in an acute care hospital. Understanding of Joint Commission, CMS, State of Tennessee Department of Health, OSHA, and/or CAP standards preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications for position Depending upon education, may require RN license in the State of Tennessee, MT or MLT in the State of Tennessee and certified by the ASCP. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written skills in order to communicate pertinent information appropriately to various levels of hospital staff. Proficient in MS office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and database technologies. Comfortable analyzing and interpreting data. Flexible and works well with all levels of employees within the organization and will hold others accountable.
