The Interpreter will provide accurate, complete and impartial interpretation services for Limited English Proficient (LED) patients, health care providers and other members of the care team. They will also provide written translation services as requested by supervisor. Maintains appropriate professional interpreter behavior in compliance with the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care from the NCIHC.
High school graduate or equivalent, required. Associates degree preferred.
At least 1 year of work experience as a medical interpreter, required
Certification by an accredited interpreting group, such as Bridging the Gap, required within 3 months of hire
Strong verbal and written communication skills, required
