The Department of Laboratories at Seattle Children’s Hospital seeks a PhD, MD or MD/PhD. Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in biochemical genetics. Experience in pediatric laboratory medicine is desirable. Candidates with suitable academic records would be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington. Our biochemical genetics laboratory offers comprehensive analysis of biochemical genetics abnormalities.
The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal and managerial skills and will be expected to participate in education of trainees, and collaborative research. The individual should develop or continue an academic program and stimulate development of new assays in the Department of Laboratories at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The individual will be an integral component of a multi-faceted clinical laboratory staffed by 17 doctoral faculty.
Additional Salary Information: This appointment is without tenure and is contingent on budgetary approval.
