We are currently searching for an experienced intensivist to serve as Medical Director to join our team covering both Memorial Hospital and Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville. This practice provides care to critically ill children and rotates through these two new PICUs in Jacksonville, FL. This position will be responsible for the oversight of the practice and will work closely with hospital administration, as well as our regional management team.
Memorial Hospital Jacksonville has a six-bed PICU and eight beds on the pediatric floor. Orange Park Medical Center has a four-bed PICU and two step down beds and an eight-bed pediatric floor. Duties include admitting and providing quality care to children in the PICU and pediatric floor and responding to all ER consults. The pediatric intensivists are working along with our affiliated group of neonatologists. Flexible scheduling with call from home. This is an outstanding opportunity to establish and grow a new PICU and sedation program.
Memorial Hospital (an HCA facility) is located less than 20 miles from the beaches of Jacksonville. It is the premiere medical facility in the Jacksonville area featuring a Certified Chest Pain Center, a Certified Stroke Center, and a dedicated Heart Center.
