We are recruiting Medical Officer (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatric Medicine) positions to serve as Locum (PRN) Medical Officers who work in the place of the regular Medical Officers who are absent, or when a clinic is short-staffed. These positions report to the Portland Area Director, Division of Clinical Support, in the Portland Area Office. These positions will be located in Portland, Oregon; however, based on the need of the health centers, incumbent(s) will travel and be assigned to any of the Indian Health Service Units in Idaho, Washington or Oregon for job assignment.

If hired, you will be assigned a temporary (not-to-exceed 1 year) appointment with an intermittent work schedule which means employment is without a regularly scheduled tour of duty. You are only paid for actual hours worked. Travel and per diem costs to temporary duty station(s) will be paid according to Federal travel regulations. The agency has the option of extending temporary appointments for a maximum of 2 years.
Additional Salary Information: Title 38 Physician and Dentist Pay (PDP) is authorized for use to match local area pay.
