Yuma Regional Medical Center includes a 406 bed, Medicare-certified acute care hospital as well as comprehensive coordinated care through community clinics and outreach. We provide best practice, integrated healthcare to Southwest Arizona. We are seeking LDRP Seasonal/Summer Nurses to join our team.
LDRP is comprised of 7 Triage beds, 9 LDR's, 18 antepartum/postpartum beds, and a Baby Holding Area where normal Newborns of cesarean section births are cared for while the mother remains in the Women's Surgical Services area. Newborns requiring close monitoring or specialized care are moved to the NICU. Approximately 3,500 deliveries annually.
The LDRP Unit is staffed with a Director, Clinical Nurse Expert, Resource Coordinators, Team Leaders, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, OB techs, and Unit Support Representatives. The unit has an in-house OB Hospitalist 24/7, in-house OB dedicated Anesthesiologist 24/7, in-house Neonatologist and NICU team who attend all high-risk deliveries, and 24/7 available Pediatric hospitalist.
The LDRP department utilizes evidenced based practice to ensure all guidelines meet the National standards. AWHONN guidelines for staffing are utilized; NRP instructors and AWHONN fetal monitoring instructors are on-site. Both the nursing and physician leadership are dedicated to providing safe, quality patient care.
· Arizona or compact state RN License; BCLS; Advanced Life Support Certification(s) as appropriate & required for assigned department
· 1 year acute care experience
· Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment
· Experience Preferred
· Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems preferred
